Byotrol is very clever disinfectant that was originally developed to clean hospitals.  It deals with all the nasties that are in the news every day including MRSA, C. Difficile, Salmonella and Listeria.  All ByoFresh products contain Byotrol.

But why is that relevant to pets?  Well just like humans, it isn’t sweat that smells.  It is the bacteria that feed on it that do.  Thus when you clean with a ByoFresh product you not only wash, you also disinfect and remove any residual traces.  If you have every spilt a pint of milk, you will know how a smell can linger.  Because we disinfect as well as clean, smells don’t linger when you ByoFresh them.

Byotrol is a man-made mixture of bioicides and is regulated under the European Biocides Directive.  But don’t be alarmed, it is very gentle as well as being effective.  We have sold over 1 million ByoFresh products without any skin irritation issues.  Nor is it poisonous in any way.  It is food safe and is actually used in South Africa to spray directly on to peaches to stop moulds growing.

Byotrol is particularly effective at low levels of concentration, which is why we are able to use it directly on to pets.  It has been tested to European Standards Byotrol has been tested to European Standards EN 1276 for all bacteria types, EN 13704 bacterial spores and EN 1650 moulds.  Byotrol is environmentally safe and biodegrades down to its carbon components leaving no trace on the environment.
